Perhaps the only thing that lasted longer than Colin Firth’s award winning movie was CP+B’s hold on the Burger King account. In my humble opinion, I think both went on a touch too long.
I have a decent IQ. While not a genius by any stretch, most would say I am smarter than the average bear. Even so, there seems to be an ever-widening gap between what my brain says and what my body does. Last weekend, Barbara and I rode our bikes over the Brooklyn Bridge. Between references like “what a view,” “this is so cool,” and “aren’t the Orthodox hot walking in black coats,” we had some time to reflect on one of the great social conflicts.
I try to share views on topics that help us face the same direction more often and make the world a bit better. Racism has been touched on. Peace has been discussed. Religion has been poked at. That said, no topic has caused more debate than my NYC restaurant picks – go figure. So, consider this chapter two…
I (heart) New York. It is my favorite city in the world and, every morning I wake up there, I feel like I am waking up in the place I was meant to. It is my urban love. It is my hobby. It is the setting for most everything I read about. This post is about sharing my urban obsessions.
While they say everything is better in NYC (other than price per square foot), most all New Yorkers love to argue about how their local picks are the absolute best and how everyone else’s is pure crap.
